THIS IS AN ORIGINAL RECORD SHOP FLYER PROMOTING TWO NEW FONTANA 45s DUE FOR RELEASE ON FRIDAY 5th FEBRUARY 1965

There are eight 45s currently on release in February 1965 listed on the reverse, see photo 2.
Measuring approximately 5.5 X 9 inches (14 X 22 cms) this item is in perfect condition with no tears, folds or creases. The red print on the pink background is as bright and vibrant as when printed 42 years ago.
This flyer would have been sent by the Publicity department at Fontana Records to music stores throughout the UK in the hope of generating record orders. The reality was that most store managers regarded the constant flow of publicity from the various record companies as junk mail and would simply throw it away. A few years ago we were fortunate enough to purchase a quantity of promotional publicity from an old fashioned Record Shop which had been closed down for many years. Some of these items were in envelopes which had never been opened since being posted and consequently were preserved in new condition. Most of these items were unique single items and not replacable. This flyer is one of them.
LED ZEPPELIN COLLECTORS WILL KNOW HOW RARE THE JIMMY PAGE 45 IS AND IT IS LIKELY THAT THE FLYER IS EVEN RARER.
