METAL MESSIAH

What you have here is possibly your first and only chance to own BOTH singles by legendary Kent NWOBHM outfit TRIARCHY in absolutely stunning condition!

First is the debut single Save the Khan c/w Juliet's Tomb on the original SRT (Stereo Records and Tapes) label, catalogue number SRTS/79/CUS 599. SRT acted as a kind of pressing service for numerous independant outfits in days gone by, although they continued in operation until 1995. This single was limited to an initial run of 1000, but only a minority of those had the picture sleeve which you see here, the rest had plain white sleeves. It was later reprinted, limited to a run 0f 500, by Bullet records, purely in a plain white sleeve. This is your chance to own the original, and best, print!

Condition wise, Vinyl is Ex, Sleeve is also Ex, no writing, tears, creases, only VERY minor corner dent to one bottom corner. I only mention this for complete accuracy, no-one would seriously realistically consider it a defect.

Secondly, you have their second single, on Direct Records, catalogue number Neon 2, again limited to a 1000 copies, by Bullet records, consisting of Metal Messiah, backed by Sweet Alcohol and Hell Hound On My Trail. Like the Save the Khan single this was entirely self financed and while not achieving the airplay of the first single (even the late, great John Peel loved Save the Khan!!) it still hinted at a great future for the band. Sadly, this was not to be and not until subsequent interest from Vinyl Tap and High Roller records in Germany was anything to be heard from them again, but that's another story!

The condition of Metal Messiah is Vinyl Ex and plain sleeve NM.

I can't stress enough how rare it is to find these two items together, both have been owned by me from new, very rarely played, but EXTREMELY well looked after. Needless to say it is a huge wrench to part from them, but impending college fees for Number One son dictate their sale - Sob!

Please be aware, I have just played (21:00 on 17/05/10) the Metal Messiah disc on a super high quality NAD system owned by my friend and it has unfortunately shown signs of some wear, with some significant crackling, especially on the B side (Sweet Alcohol/Hell Hound On My Trail). I am fairly certain that these noises would be removed by a good quality clean as the disc looks fine, a few fine, surface marks, but nothing to indicate they would disrupt playback. For the record, the disc sounded fine on my Technics system, a few light crackles which I put down to the disc needing a good clean, but it did sound a little worse on the high quality system.

Save the Khan disc, the really important one, is purely as described, in fact on the NAD system the synth bit made the room literally shake!

I mention this for complete honesty.
