At auction we have a rare undistributed Canadian-American Records #130 Doo-Wop Promotional 45 featuring Jerry Landis (Paul Simon) found in the last remaining archives of the historic Canadian-American Record Company. With, "I WISH I WEREN'T IN LOVE", great Teen Doo-Wop on side one and, "I'M LONELY", Teen Rock, on side two. This is considered by many to be the rarest of Paul Simon's Records and is a great Doo-Wop 45. Oh, might I also add that the record is NM-M (unplayed with no noticable defects) and in it's original CAN-AM Sleeve! Help yourself here because you will not find a better copy on eBay or anywhere else for that matter (SEE PHOTOS). PLEASE NOTE: Canadian-American Records was a record label based in both New York City and Winnipeg, Manitoba which was founded in 1957 by Leonard Zimmer. By the mid-1960s, the label stopped issuing new material. Zimmer turned ownership of the label to Joey Welz in 1998. In late august I purchased from the Leonard Zimmer estate a small quantity of Promotional 45 rpm records that were part of the early Canadian-American Record Company. Leonard Zimmer had passed away some eight years ago and the family was just then settling the estate. In 1997 I understand that the flooding Red River destroyed most of the remaining archives of the Canadian American Record Company which were located in his home in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. These 45rpm records are of what little remains of the Canadian-American Record Company.
