CONDITION ~ RECORD:    NM    PLAY- GRADED

CONDITION ~ COVER:        EX ++  3 5/8 inch seam split on bottom edge repaired with clear tape.  The cover is about perfect without the split seam.

Grading is conservative using the following guidelines: 

M  (mint)  The lp is factory sealed, unopened and unplayed. 

NM  (near mint)  The lp will have no marks and should play as new. 

EX  (excellent)  The lp may have light non-sounding marks, paper scuffs, minor background noise, light ticking but nothing excessive. 

VG  (very good)  The lp may have light to moderate scratches with audible noise, clicking, pops, etc.   

Plus (+) and minus (-) modifers are used to denote a better or lesser condition from the basic grade. 

GRADING 

For the most part, records will be graded by visual standards and spot checked for playing condition.  After being placed on a turntable platter in motion, lps will be examined for flat / bowed / dished conditions.  A Basis turntable and record clamp will be used for the testing procedure. 

Any NM record that displays various degrees of being bowed / dished will have the VISUAL rating lowered using the following as a guide.

• NM                       The lp lays perfectly flat on the turntable platter.   
• NM-                      The lp has a minor bow but is reported for accuracy.
• EX++ to EX+++  The lp has a slight to very slight bow and will lay flat with the record clamp resting on the lp but NOT applied.
• VG+++ to EX+    The lp has a heavy to moderate bow but will lay flat when the record clamp is applied. 
• VG- to VG++       The lp has a severe bow and will NOT lay flat when the record clamp is applied.  

In all instances, PLAY- GRADED ratings should be considered more accurate in the overall rating of the lp than by VISUAL ratings.  When a lp is play- graded it will be stated in the description. 

All lps offered for sale will be cleaned with a VPI vacuum record cleaning machine before shipment.

1. DESCRIPTIONS

It is the responsibilty of the bidder to furnish a valid e-mail address where they can be contacted.  Please be advised, if the bidder does not respond to e-mails or make their payment within the prescribed time frame, the item(s) is subject to withdrawal at my discretion and the bidder will be blocked from all future sales.     

3. U.S.SHIPPING 
Please wait for my invoice with the buyer's option to ship via USPS priority or media mail.

The shipping cost via USPS priority mail for 1-2 lps, will vary between $6.00 when shipping from New Jersey to the northeast and $7.50 when shipping to the Pacific coast. The shipping cost for the rest of the country is somewhere in between $6.00 and $7.50.  The delivery time for priority mail is 2-3 days.

(Shame on USPS for not having a standard postal rate via priority mail when the package is over one pound)  

An inexpensive shipping option is via media mail. The buyer pays $3.67 for USPS media mail for the first lp and $0.50 for each additional lp with 1-3 weeks delivery time.

4. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Shipping costs will be calculated by weight and destination country.  All items will be shipped USPS Airmail Letter Post up to 4 pounds and Airmail Parcel Post or Global Express Mail (EMS) over 4 pounds.   Surface mail is NOT offered for international shipments because it is unreliable, takes forever to reach its destination and will only cause problems and complaints.  Some exceptions may apply.  I will ship (surface) with large heavy orders of 10 + lps if requested by the buyer.

It is virtually impossible to accurately determine in advance, what the international shipping amount will be for multiple items. This is largely due to the fact that  USPS adjusts their postal rates every four ounces and the problem is compounded because the records and their covers/boxes all vary in weight.  It is for these reasons that I can only give a price to ship one record at this time.   

International shipping rates via USPS Airmail Letter Post for 1 lp is as follows: CANADA, $7.50,  ENGLAND, GERMANY, THE NETHERLANDS, WESTERN EUROPE  $13.00.  AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, EASTERN EUROPE, JAPAN, CHINA, SOUTH KOREA, TAIWAN, HONG KONG, SOUTH AMERICA $14.00.  Additional lps are considerably less expensive after the first one. 

** The price for shipping includes postage and quality mailer / box / packing materials.**

Multiple purchases and box sets will be invoiced.  A definite amount for shipping wil be established after the items are properly packaged and weighed.     

5. PACKAGING 
My first priority when shipping is to provide secure packing and maximum protection for the records.  I use NEW sturdy 200 lb. test corrugated mailers with stiffners for 1-2 lps..  Larger orders are shipped in an oversized 200 lb. test corrugated box that allows extra space for crushing materials and more protection.  Before putting the items into the mailer/box, the records are removed from the cover to prevent slicing through the seams while in transit, placed into a plastic outer sleeve with the cover and packed tightly with stiffners or various crushing materials to prevent movement and possible damage.  My packaging procedure may vary at times, but essentially it is as stated in this description. 

6. PAYMENT
I prefer PayPal but will cheerfully accept money orders and checks. To pay with a personal check, ($50.00 limit) ebayers need a minimum of 10 positive feedbacks and no negatives.  Please make ONE PAYMENT for multiple purchases to avoid shipping delays and unnecessary refunds, PAYPAL is mandatory  for all INTERNATIONAL transactions. 

7. INSURANCE
Insurance is optional  and at the buyer's expense.  While domestic priority mail and international airmail shipments infrequently go astray, please note that uninsured packages are solely the customer's responsibility if damaged or lost by the postal service. 

Domestic insurance rates are as follows: (subject to change) $1.35 up to the value of $50.00; $2.30 up to the value of $100.00; $3.35 up to the value of $200.00; $4.40 up to the value of $300.00; etc.

** When the value of the purchased items is high, I strongly recommend that you insure your package, especially when shipped via media mail.** 

Unfortunately, USPS offers NO insurance or tracking for International Airmail Letter Post.  Only International Airmail Parcel Post can be insured at the following rates: (subject to change)  US $1.95 up to the value of $50.00; US $2.75 up to the value of $100.00; US $3.80 up to the value of $200.00; US $4.85 up to the value of $300.00; etc. 

Global Express Mail (EMS) should be seriously considered when shipping insured.  All packages receive $100.00 insurance with no extra charge and estimated delivery is 3-5 days.  Many times the cost is about the same as with Airmail Parcel Post.

**Small parcels can be insured via Airmail Parcel Post but the postal rates are much higher than if shipped via Airmail Letter Post.**
