Description
Queen - The Works LP album, 1984, EMC 24 0014 1, stereo, first UK pressing. Matrix codes, side 1: EMC 2400141-A-3-1-2, STERLING (stamped). Side 2: EMC 2400141-B-3-1-1, STERLING (stamped).
Cover in excellent condition, see photos. Light creasing to bottom right corner. Spine in excellent condition, fully legible.
Record in printed lyrics inner sleeve. Inner sleeve in excellent condition. Record and both labels in excellent, hardly played condition. Record plays perfectly flat and sounds excellent throughout.
The record will be packed and posted very well protected. I have been buying and treasuring LP records for about 40 years now so I do my best to make sure every LP arrives in the condition it left me.

When Queen’s 11th studio album The Works was released in the UK on February 27th 1984, many fans and critics alike hailed this as a return to their rock roots and the traditional ‘Queen sound’ had returned, which was absent on the previous album Hot Space, in 1982. Although this new album made a deliberate use of electronic sounding keyboards for the first time, with some tracks helped out by their ‘USA Tour’82’ keyboard player Fred Mandel, the media were unusually kind in their overall comments on the album, Record Mirror described it as 'Another jewel in the crown'.
The album entered the UK chart at number two, on the anticipation of a brand new album from the band for nearly two years, and on the strength of the current hit single Radio Ga Ga, which had been released just over four weeks prior. The album would reach number one in Portugal and Holland and the Top 10 everywhere else around the world. The album went platinum in the UK and Gold in the USA where the album reached number 23.
