Live Magic

Only played 2/3 times at most this first pressing is a final upgrade archive copy and plays with immaculate audio from start to finish.  It comes complete with a cover and picture inner that are in perfect condition, they are rarely seen as good as this.

Visual grading

This vinyl is in pristine condition and you can tell it has been hardly played.  I can only detect a couple of very faint spindle traces on each label and the vinyl itself retains a stunning jet-black glossy sheen.  At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking this was a new record and it is only on closer inspection that you can see a couple of mega faint sleeve removal hairlines.  There are no scratches or marks of any kind and the labels and run out grooves are also in immaculate condition.

Play grading  

As you would expect from a barely played vinyl 'One Vision' plays with incredible power and depth from the word go.  You can turn this up to loud without fear of distortion, the definition of the audio is stunning, and if you shut your eyes you can almost imagine yourself being there!  I can be somewhat verbose in my descriptions sometimes ! but I just cannot believe what I am hearing here!  As I often say on an unplayed vinyl there is more 'sound' in a way, the clarity is just off the scale and that is certainly the case here.  So as to provide a comprehensive grading I listen to every second of the album and S1 plays to a standard that is of the highest standard possible, no exaggeration.  'Tie Your Mother Down' also plays to an immaculate standard and that is the case with every track on this side.  There aren't many quiet moments on S1 but they all play with the same degree of accuracy as the more powerful sections.  For example the quieter sections on 'Under Pressure' play with perfect precision with not even a single dust tick.  Only the final track, 'Another One Bites The Dust', has a minimal hint of distortion but it is not intrusive.  The 'da-doh' section that follows also has a little but again there are no clicks or pops and remarkably no static or crackle either.  So impressive!

'I Want To Break Free' on S2 keeps up the standard and plays with fault.  The definition of each note is sublime even with Freddie struggling a little on the higher register!  I am delighted to say 'Is This The World We Created?' is stunning!  Even the super quiet tracks play with same impressive clarity and it has no interference whatsoever.  'Bohemian Rhapsody' has a handful of mega light dust ticks on the opening section but you may well miss them as they are so quiet.  The remainder of this classic plays in sublime fashion with immense power and clarity.  'Hammer To Fall' is mind-blowing and plays 'as new'.  It 'rocks out' loud and true and again deserves to be turned up to 11!  Indeed every track on the side plays to the same exacting standard with no clicks or pops etc.  'Radio Ga Ga' is another highlight and plays with perfect precision as does 'We Will Rock You'.  Again the clarity and depth is that of an unplayed vinyl and 'Friends Will Be Friends' and 'We Are The Champions' end this underrated live album with 'high end' audio and barely any distortion.

In summary this A1/B2 first pressing plays with dynamic power and for an album that is now over 30 years old to play without one single click or pop is a rarity.  You could not wish for a better album and the gatefold is also practically Mint and is certainly the best I have ever seen.  A final upgrade archive LP without question.

The Gatefold

This cover still has that new 'shop' look about it.  So often found in poor condition this has hardly ever been handled and remains very strong and robust.  The edges are in immaculate condition and I have never seen the wide spine looking so 'clean' it is perfect.  There is also hardly any corner wear, just a couple of tiny rubs really which is a rarity.  The opening edge as you might expect has no handling wear whatsoever and looks as good as when manufactured back in '86...much like the rest of the cover!  The front and back cover have no marking or creasing and the inside is also pristine.  This really is a fantastic example of this gatefold, you won't find cleaner!

The Picture Inner

This is near perfect apart from one very tiny tear on the thumb notch.  There are no side splits and only a couple of very minor creases.

The labels

They are extremely clean with no marking/writing and only a couple of mega small spindle traces as stated.  There is a very small 'nick' on each side next to the spindle hole but this is common and often occurs during manufacture.
