QUEEN started out as a heavy, progressive rock outfit - but with avparticularly strong style that worked for the singles market.
Still as a new band on record, the most airplay attention wasn't on the BBC radio mainstream but on Radio Luxembourg and the more marginal European stations we had to find and carefully tune into.
At the time artists like T. Rex, Cockney Rebel, Kate Bush (all on this lable) and David Bowie were getting most attention - commercial hard rock on 45s was Nazareth, and Sweet b-sides!
I loved this record and had to order it from the local record shop in 1973.
Queen went on from here with a series of great single releases - Now I'm Here, Seven Seas Of Rye and Killer Queen getting more attention as they got better known
Freddy Mercury was an outstanding entertainer and exceptional vocalist. He also recorded as a solo vocalist. I saw Queen live in the mid 70s and he was amazing as a front man.
This is rare and collectable - and a nice debut record release!
