QUEEN - rare withdrawn version of Hammer To Fall 7" single featuring original 'Live Sleeve' from 1984.

As some collectors will know, this sleeve was quickly deleted after being released as it was thought it might appear the release was a live recording.  The message went out to have all these recalled and the story goes the message wasn't received by some Woolworths stores and so a few had already been snapped up.

Collectors Tips:

Beware !  Several different fake versions of this sleeve exist !  

Some feature the word 'cassette' being incorrectly spelt as 'casette' i.e. with only one letter 's'.  Also a fake copy could have the lettering on the front in a Times New Roman font which looks very different to the trained eye and where the letters appear closer together.

On a newer fake look out for this set of mistakes; 1. The flip-backs on the rear are both angled (the original is only angled at the bottom).  2. The cut-away on the back is 5.5 cm at the top and is a curved cut, fakes are a different, squarer shape and 10 cm across the top. 3. The EMI logo on the rear shouldn't touch the bottom of the sleeve (the fake one touches) with the black border inside the box also being wider on the fake. 4. The catalogue number 'QUEEN 4' - the bottom of the number '4' should be flush with the bottom of the letters UEEN, on the fake copy it's below this. 5. The fake sleeve is smaller in size 18 cm x 18 cm and should be 18.2 cm x 18.2 cm.  6.  The fake sleeve is made of stiffer card, is overly glossy and weighs 16 g (approx.) wheres the real deal weighs 13 g (approx.),

The front of the sleeve is mostly in Very Good condition and Good in places - some general storage wear including small amount of ring-wear and with a couple of patches near the letters Q and N where a price sticker could have been removed.  The rear of the sleeve has more wear - see all photographs and close-ups.
