Description:

Artist: Procol Harum

Title: Whiter Shade of Pale

Label: Classic Records / Regal Zonophone

Catalog Number: none

Country: Mastered in the UK, pressed in USA

Issue: 2004 Classic Records audiophile 180g issue, an all-time classic and LONG out of print.

Vinyl Grade: Near Mint.  superb condition, beautiful like-new vinyl, there are NO turntable spindle marks on either label.

Please see close-up photos, including photos of the label taken at an angle to the light, to show the spindle hole area.  There is one mark on the 45rpm side's label which is from the manufacturing process at RTI and appears on most RTI pressed records, it is from the LP being ejected from the record press and sliding over the stacking spindle before hitting the hole and sliding down onto the stack of previously pressed records.  For a video of this process and to see what I'm referring to, do a Google search for "ControlRecordGuide visits RTI Record Pressing Plant" to see what I mean about the RTI pressing machine typically leaving one "spindle mark" on one label of the records they press (see the video at the 1:00 minute mark specifically).

Cover Grade:  Near Mint.  Plain black with the title sticker pasted on the front, top condition all around.

Notes: Mastered by Tim de Paravicini for Classic Records in 2004, this is one of the all-time great songs of the 1960s.  If you have a turntable, this is definitely the way to hear Whiter Shad of Pale.  Timeless music at its best, this is a top condition collector's example.

Packaging (non-gatefold): The album will be placed in a clear outer protective sleeve, sealed, then sandwiched between two large cardboard stiffener pads and carefully taped together.  I have used this method for many years to practically eliminate seam splits while still protecting the LP inside the cover.  I will gladly package the LPs outside the cover upon request.  The album, after being “sandwiched” between the two pieces of cardboard, is then packaged with bubble-wrap and Styrofoam peanuts in an oversize box.  The box is large enough that it should easily withstand even being dropped directly on its corner without damaging the cover inside.  I know very well what it is like to receive poorly packaged records, so I am careful to make sure your album is safely packaged and arrives safely.

Packaging (gatefold): Albums with gatefold covers will have the LP secured outside the cover, between the front and back covers of the gatefold, in order to eliminate the possibility of seam splits and still protect the LP.  The cover will then be placed inside a clear poly outer protective album cover and sealed.  The album is then carefully centered and “sandwiched” between two oversized cardboard reinforcement pads, which are then carefully taped together, to prevent the album (and LP) from sliding up and down or side to side during transit.  This keeps the LP stationary and the album cover centered, allowing the oversized cardboard reinforcement pads to protect the edges and corners from dings.  It is hard to describe, but you will understand when you see it.

The album “sandwich” is then packaged with bubble-wrap and Styrofoam peanuts in an oversize box.  The box is large enough that it should easily withstand even being dropped directly on its corner without damaging the cover inside.  I know very well what it is like to receive poorly packaged records, so I am careful to make sure your album is safely packaged and arrives safely.

Tracking: You should automatically receive your Tracking Number by email when the Shipping Label is printed.

eBay History of Record LP sales: 14 years on eBay.  Please do check my Seller feedback comments with regard to accurate LP grading, safe packaging and quick shipping.

Feedback: If there is any problem with your package, please contact me so that I have the opportunity to resolve the issue before leaving feedback.  My goal is to have happy customers and repeat business.

Payment per eBay’s new policy, please make payment via PayPal within 2 days.

Shipping and Handling Time: Packages normally ship the day after payment (excluding weekends and holidays) with email notification and Tracking number.

No Return Policy:  This collectible LP is long out of print, not replaceable, in top condition and fragile by nature.  I have packaged many hundreds of valuable record LPs over the years, but most people have not, and it's not an easy thing to do properly.  When I have accepted returns in the past, both times (yes, I've had two albums returned in the last 14 years) they arrived with damage to the cover.  I realize it's not intentional, but it happens.  One trip through the postal system is enough, so this album is offered with eBay's 'No Return' policy in effect for this listing.  As always, if there is a problem with the album itself (e.g., item is somehow not as described), just let me know, I am a reasonable person and eBay's money back guarantee is still in effect.  Of course if the album is damaged during transit please let me know immediately and SAVE the packaging because it is needed for the Insurance claim.  We will get the Insurance claim filed right away and process your refund as quickly as possible.  Please check my feedback, you will see that I only offer top quality record albums and my customers are happy!

International Buyers – Shipping Options: International shipping options are listed above (see Shipping and Payments tab), shipping cost is automatically calculated by eBay shipping calculator.

International Buyers – Customs Fees: Please be aware that your country may charge you Import Duties, Taxes or other Fees at the time of Delivery which are NOT included in the Item price or shipping.  Any such Import charges are the Buyer’s responsibility.  Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine any additional Fees before bidding.

Weight Limit of 4 Lbs. for International First Class Mail:  Please note that First Class International Mail has a 4 Lb. weight limit.  If you make multiple purchases and the combined weight is over the 4 Lb. weight limit we will have to use two separate First Class International packages or use Priority Mail International.  If your combined total is over 4 Lbs. then I will contact you about the shipping (one package vs. two), but the shipping cost should be basically the same.
