This album was purchased from The Electric Fetus which is the only retail store in the world that were selling these.
This is a rare one and the minute people start opening these the number of sealed perfect records will go down. Please note my pictures show two albums, however, I am only selling one with this auction and will sell the other one separately. I am a hardcore Prince Fam and have other items that will be coming up, but this is definitely one of the rarer items I am proud to own, the record is sealed and perfect, I am of course keeping one of these albums for myself as I am confident the value will continue to increase, but for now one lucky buyer gets a rare piece of Prince history.
Please note I will take the utmost care in shipping to ensure this album is uber protected against damage, even if it cost me a few extra dollars in packing materials. As part of the Prince "Fam" I want to make sure whoever gets this is very happy with my performance, as I do intend to sell some of my rare memorabilia that I have spent 29 years collecting. I only hope the items I end up selling provide years of enjoyment to the next passionate Prince lover.

Michael Howe,Prince Estate’s official Vault Archivist, said: “I spotted the two-inch multitrack reel in the Vault some weeks back while doing a 1984-era inventory. After retrieving my jaw from the floor, we took the reel upstairs, analysed it, put it up on the Studer 24 track machine, and digitized it to 24/192. Even our ‘faders up’ rough mix was compelling enough to indicate that this was something very special indeed.”
Note: this is the RARE PURPLE VINYL LIMITED EDITION RECORD STORE DAY version available only at Electric Fetus and not the black vinyl or picture disc which will have separate releases in non-limited quantities, I believe it comes out May 25th. I would hurry, once the masses catch on to the new release and find out about the limited edition I believe the demand will sky rocket and it does not take long for people with money to drive the price up on these. Assured there are not 1984 sealed copies so the value for the sealed versions are naturally going to be worth more. Mostly the fans are clued in to this opportunity today but after after May 25th the whole world will start hearing this song, fall in love with it and start researching it more. Almost wants to make me wait but I need money for a child going to college soon.
