Product/Provenance

Just As Long As We're Together was the second single to be released from Prince's first album For You. The single was ONLY released in the USA & not released in any other territory. In addition only the Promo was available on 12”, the stock commercial release was on 7” vinyl.

The single had very limited success, it only reached number 91 on the US Billboard Hot Soul Singles Chart, and failed to reach the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Due to the limited success of the release the promo 12” is an incredibly difficult item to find in a complete condition with sleeve in a decent condition.

The record is almost 40 years old!!!

Condition (See photos)

Sleeve - N Mint, free of any damage, splits rips or tears. The sleeve contains a sticker positioned on the top left of the sleeve. This is an ID sticker from the radio station used to quickly identify the tracks and artist, this was common practice in the 70’s. Thankfully the sticker Is clean and discreet which means it does not detract from the overall quality and condition of the product. This particular DISCO sleeve was only used on one occasion and that was for this release. This particular example is stunning, the white is clean and bright, providing a strong background to the remaining bright colours which pop out. The card is thick and strong with strong clean lines like new. I’m only grading this as N Mint due to the presence of the sticker, otherwise it’s a top Mint grade.

Vinyl - Mint, stunning factory fresh condition, unplayed, never seen a turntable. The lustre across both sides is beautiful.

Labels- Mint, these early Burbank labels are particularly nice and well sought after by collectors. You can see why with all the extra colour and detail they contain, they are much more interesting than the later plain WB labels. These are in wonderful condition.

Rare example in beautiful like new, Mint condition, very unusual to get both the sleeve and record in this condition, Investment piece.
