Poulenc Organ Concerto Pretre UK Columbia SAX 2445 Magic Notes
Rosanna Carteri with the French National Radio Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Georges Pretre perform the “Gloria”, and with Maurice Durufle, the “Organ Concerto” of Poulenc. An English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2445), the labels are blue/green with silver border and “radio waves”, a groove, and black Columbia and stereo flash with magic note logo. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sound superb with some minor low-level surface noise. The cover laminate has rubbed a little and there is sticker residue and a tear at the top right-hand corner, and the back is a little grubby.
