Description

An original 1st press of WALL on UK Harvest. Matrix 3/3/1/2 - relatively early in sequence. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card 1st issue gatefold cover. Please note these are MUCH higher quality than 2nd issue covers. From the photos the most obvious way to tell the difference is that 1st issue DON'T exhibit the band members names in purple above the baby in a cell image. Both original inner sleeves. NO sticker tho.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex) In really great condition and have only seen lightest use. Excellent lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one minor deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. It will be difficult to match this level of reproduction and preservation. One of the biggest issues with WALL is it has lots of lowkey passages. And even if you find a quiet player it rarely plays quiet the whole way through. BUT this example is close to as good as I've witnessed - for a consistent clean player. And I'd argue that's pretty unusual - someone's really taken care of it. You can hear all the vocal echoes perfectly. Mother is incredibly off the spectrum fussy - this example executes it perfectly...now that really is unusual [just one solitary tick]. I got two isolated minor ticks on side 3 & 4 - [hardly worth mentioning]. This LP is playing clean into all those super lowkey passages. The only way that is possible is by virtue of very light careful use.  A couple of minor static crackles in a couple of spots 'In The Flesh' & 'RLHell' - minimal. A super player and you really need to opt for the best possible copy on this absolute all time classic title. Highly recommended in every way.
Cover (Ex) Rarely surfaces looking this well preserved. Maybe just faintest hint of ageing at topper most extremities - but hardly anything. And that is very unusual. No nasty marks creasing or anything really. Smooth flat surfaces. The interior is immaculate too. Hardly any edge wear and sharp firm openings. Spine looks superb with no issue. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine looking specimen.
Inners (Ex/Ex-) Slightest trace of ageing. No splits. Very presentable.
