Description

The Wall 1st issue from 1979 on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A3U/B3U-A3U/B2U. This double Lp comes housed in the original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. The cover does not carry the full band member credits inside like the later copies do [reissues hold the four band member names in purple]. Also included are the original rounded corner inners with notches at the top. 100% original and 100% complete.
Cover (Ex+) Nice and shiny with almost no signs of fading or wear. The spine is totally intact and overall the cover still retains perfect rigidity. I think you'd have a hard time bettering this cover.
Vinyl (Ex+) Shiny like new and has clearly seen very minimal use. Under close inspection I can only make a couple of very light marks across all four sides - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. I really can't recommend the audio on offer here enough. Any interference with PF records is often very obvious, but here playback is astonishingly clear with no interference at all. The only audible interference I picked up on throughout the entire four sides was three crackles [track three side 1]. Other than that playback is astonishingly good with an almost holographic quality to it. There's no better rendition of 'The Wall' than on one of these early copies.
Inners (Ex+) Really good condition with no signs of fading. 1 tiny seam split...one half centimeter.
