VINYL GRADING:

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE 1ST PRESSING!

STUNNING NEAR MINT!  It retains all of its original sheen and luster.  It simply LOOKS NEW when viewed under intense light and shows only a whisper line or two if caught at a certain angle. 

PLAYBACK GRADE:

AGAIN, STUNNING!  This LP was played on a Forsell Air-Force One and a Lyra Titan with spectacular results.  Clean, Crisp, Clear GLORIOUS MONO!  Dead quite background with only a hint of low-level noise only evident on quiet passages.

COVER GRADING:

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FIRST PRESSING COVER W/THE “FILE UNDER POP GROUPS” LISTING!

VG+++!  The cover has NO seam splits, The slightest of slight feathering of the opening, NO writing, NO dinged corners, one slight corner crease, NO stains or marks! 

INNER SLEEVE: 

AGAIN, A FIRST PRESSING INNER SLEEVE and is crisp and clean with NO rips or tares!

Release Date: June 29, 1968

Release Information: First mono issue on a black Columbia label with a blue Columbia trademark logo. Gilmour is written as "GILMORE" on both the record label and cover.

Description:

Front Cover: Hipgnosis picture. Laminated flipback cover.

Back Cover: At top foldover of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom foldover of back cover it says "6807 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending SX6258 / SCX6258".

Inner Sleeve: Black printing on white paper. On the front side is the EMI logo at the top center, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including Both Sides of Herman's Hermits, and "Remember-the new Emitex cleans and preserves your records," and "Patents applied for" at the bottom. On the back side is the EMI logo at the top center, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including the Beatles-Revolver, and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) Hayes - Middlesex - England, Made and Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom.


Label: Black Columbia label with silver text, and a blue "Columbia Records Magic Notes Trademark" at the top, and a blue "Columbia" in the center. KT stamped near center hole.  Underneath the blue "Columbia" it says "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists." At the bottom of the label, it says "Made in GT Britain."
Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says:

The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of thowner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorized public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.
