An original 1st press of TROMBONES for the UK market by Island. Matrix A1U/B1U - very 1st cut. Etching Kendun X 2. Difficult to find these '83 copies - this title was not a big hitter at the outset. Retrospectively seen as a classic. Worth going for the early copies - better manufacturing standards. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the original Island Inner. Note how the rear of the cover doesn't exhibit a bar-code...this must have been one of the last titles in the UK to avoid a bar-code spoiler! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In smashing condition having seen only light use. Under close inspection I'm having trouble spotting any marking. Surfaces still retain that original lustre.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A super copy. Very nice clean player for what is, I would imagine, quite a fussy title. Solid player with precious little in the background to annoy. At worst a few minor static crackles in a couple of spots per side. It's a Waits classic - so you'll need to get this one at some point. Make sure you get a decent copy like this one. Rainbirds & Braids play really clean. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and that aesthetic is still very much intact. Clean surfaces front and rear with only one slight indentation on the front. Very little edge wear at all. Sharp openings. The only thing I can hold against it is a tiny bump to the bottom corner. The spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) immaculate. Minimal wear. No splits.
