Description
1st Quadraphonic pressing of AHM on the UK Harvest label from summer 1973. Matrix A1/B2. Stampers 1G/1G. The perimeter text on the label states 'Gramophone'. All of these details infer a very early first pressing, in fact, with the 1G stampers this is almost certainly from the very first batch ever made. AHM was the first Pink Floyd LP to be specifically mixed for quad delivery. In addition to this quad pressings are known to be among the best audiophile pressings using either quad or standard stereo. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover baring the SQ logo. Also included here is the original quadraphonic inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete and outstandingly well preserved.
Vinyl (Ex+) A truly immaculate looking slab of vinyl - shiny like the day it rolled off the press. Judging by the shimmering surface and minimal spindle traces this LP has seen only the very lightest of use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio comes across with prefect clarity and minimal interference. We only detect some very light run-in static in a couple of places which was barely audible. A fantastic little player and one that you'll possibly never manage to better.
Cover (Ex-) Has been well cared for and only exhibits some light handling wear. A touch of wear on the edges and the spine. But overall it maintains excellent rigidity and there are no hidden rips or tears lurking anywhere.
Inner (Ex) No spits or ageing. Just some light creasing.
Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
