Pink Floyd - Animals
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional 'day of release' example of Pink Floyd's tenth studio album: Animals.
As is shown below, the album features all the signs of a true UK first pressing. The exceptionally rare wide spine sleeve is in fantastic condition, without any signs of 'squashing' and the audio playback from the vinyl is simply superb. This will be a fantastic addition to any collection.

Serial number: SHVL 815
Matrix number: A - 2U / B - 3U
Mother & stamper codes: 2 / 2 (I cannot see any stampers)
Vinyl Weight: 146g
The matrix numbers inform us that the vinyl is a UK first pressing crossover; side 1 a first pressing and side 2 a second pressing. I believe they changed to the 3U pressing plate for side 2 as there were issues with the 2U plate being off-centre. In my opinion it is much improved - take a listen yourself below!
The labels are the first variant which feature panoramic pictures.
The sleeve is the first variant without a barcode and with a wide spine.
Completing the album is the original card lyric inner sleeve, with a notch to the top edge and with four rounded corners.

The labels are clean and retain rich, vibrant colours. No spindle marks can be seen around each unworn spindle hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The record retains superb deep-gloss playing surfaces which are blemish free in bright daylight. Under the glare of a halogen desk lamp wispy light paper hairline marks can be seen (usually present due to the card inner sleeve) alongside an iridescent rainbow sheen. Very nice.
Sound Quality: MINT -

As can be heard in the audio clips, the vinyl sounds simply fantastic. There is great channel separation, superb clarity and exceptional dynamism. The lead ins are quiet. Between tracks the only noise to be heard is the unavoidable rotation of the stylus. As good as they come!
Sleeve: MINT -
The sleeve is in remarkable shop new condition! All four sides are clean and retain bright vibrant colours. The spine and all 6 edges are without wear. The corners are in incredible order. It would be very difficult to find a sleeve than this.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve looks great. If not for a couple of tiny scuffs to the edges it would be mint.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution), then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner is performed before a final rinse with distilled water.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve, both of which are stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
