Over the years I've only ever seen a handful of these box-sets as they are a scarce item indeed. I put this down to most fans already having bought the LP's as they were released (building up their own collection to some degree ) and simply could not justify the big expense of purchasing this Limited Edition set.
The end result here is that rarely will you ever come across another of these in such superb condition and this prized item is certain to be an exceptional collectors piece for the winning bidder.

Condition :
VINYL ~ I have meticulously gone over the vinyl here to give the most accurate grading possible. All the records are absolute stone-cold beauties!! They are all un-marked, the gloss simply bounces off the vinyl from any angle in sunlight and under a bright globe and I really can't fault any of them
… To be certain I very carefully play tested each and every side, very briefly mind you, to ascertain any lead-in hiss … nope, not even a whisper and I only wish all my vinyl were as pristine as these!!
Further inspection of every label under a super bright desk light showed no spindle marks whatsoever.

In all honesty I could not grade the vinyl here any less than Mint minus and I seriously doubt whether the majority, if not all, of these albums have seen a turn-table before I undertook a short quality test.

ALBUM COVERS ~ It is amazing to see all these sleeves in such fantastic shape. Not the slightest hint of ring-wear at all on any of them. No writing, creases or stains and each and every spine is perfect without any indentations at all. How I would love to declare them all 'as new' but alas… during over 30 years of storage within the box…they have sustained some rubbing or minor seam splits, mostly at the center top of the sleeves. My guess is that the one and only owner took them out to look over them and when returned at some stage the majority were put back upside down. I have grouped them into 3 categories of wear as follows :
1. Minimal rubbing ( approx 2 inches in length and barely noticeable ) at the top centre ~ Animals.
2. Where the rubbing ( approx 2 inches in length ) shows a definitive small split at the bottom top centre ~ Obscured By Clouds ; Relics ; More ; Atom Heart Mother ; Wish you Were Here ( main sleeve only and not gate-fold portion ) ; A Nice Pair ; Ummagumma.
3. Where the rubbing ( approx 2 inches in length ) shows a definitive small split at the bottom centre ~ Meddle ( main sleeve only and not gate-fold portion ) ; Dark Side Of The Moon ( main sleeve only and not gate-fold portion ).

Overall these album sleeves present magnificently and with careful attention these minor faults will not worsen. I can't imagine the winning bidder being disappointed here as they are otherwise super clean and more than acceptable, even more-so for such a rare item.

BOX ~ What was it with these album boxes they made in the 80's ?? Whilst this one is particularly good it seems as soon as you flipped it open it split at the middle corners ( or the inside corners of the lid as you looked at the LP's neatly stacked in the solid base if you get my meaning ).… gee .. it's disappointing despite it being commonplace with just about every box-set you see. The splits here are clean and have been neatly repaired and certainly presents much better than most you come across.
Looking at the box front-on it is superb as it presents magnificently both front and back. As stated the only fault is the two corner splits in the lid and in all probability they don't come that much better.

Overall this is a glorious piece for Floyd fans and I doubt whether a fresher example of this very scarce Australian only Box-Set issue will surface for quite some time … a 'must have' item for enthusiasts.
