Released in the UK on COLUMBIA RECORDS DB 7834
The original release of this record was date stamped 11-2-68.
This particular release will be of interest to BEATLES COLLECTORS as it`s the one Paul McCartney wrote under a pen name of Webb. Apparently he wanted to see even without the Lennon / McCartney name on the credits if it could be a hit song. Sadly with the name Webb this wasn`t what he hoped for & it charted very low. An experiment that went wrong for him but he probably learnt a lot for that song.
As you know ,Demo records from the 1960`s were pressed up in very small numbers. These were then given free of charge to Radio Stations & the Music Press. These all have Special labels which denote they are a promo record. These were never meant for sale to the general public & these have now become collectable in their own right.
The record is in excellent condition with barely a mark to the vinyl. The labels are clean & free from defacements .. It comes in a die cut Columbia sleeve which is in very good condition but with a couple of small rips on the centre hole. Please see the pictures..
