Description

Pepper Adams Quintet     10 To 4 At The Five Spot   Riverside 1104  stereo   black label

Pepper Adams (bar s), Donald Byrd (t), Bobby Timmons (p), Doug Watkins (b), Elvin Jones (d)   Recorded 1958

Black label, "Bill Grauer Productions" and deep groove both sides.    "AB" in the runouts.  "553 West 51st Street, New York 19, N.Y."  address on back cover.  Nice true stereo live recording.

 Record looks M-. It  plays M-/VG+. Side 2 has a light tick below the level of the music on Track 1 for 1 to 2 mins. Rest of side plays M-. No scratch is visible. Pressing issue?  Record looks very clean.  No scuffs, no scratches.  Grooves are bright and glossy and do not show graying or spreading.

 Cover is strong VG++.

 Front cover looks really nice.  It is shiny and bright with very light wear and a "STEREOPHONIC" sticker.  Back cover has light to moderate wear with name written at the top at the spine. No seam splits.  Top seam, bottom seam and spine have light wear and all are not split or taped.  Spine is intact and writing is bright and readable. All corners tight and sharp.

  I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC. BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
