Description
Not in the greatest condition for sure, but a scarce
item is this Gennett 3048 done by Alberta Hunter using
the name Josephine Beatty. She is accompanied by Louis
Armstrong & The Red Onion Jazz Babies and they do
"Everybody Loves My Baby."
This was done in New York City on September 6, 1924.
On the reverse side, Kitty Irvin is accompanied by
Volly de Faut on clarinet and Walter Melrose on piano,
and they do "Copenhagen." This side was done in Chicago
in October of 1924.
On the A side, the record is in V+ condition, but is
rough at the start. It sugars off after about a
quarter-inch of grooves.
The B side is in E- to V+ condition, but the surface
has a haze making it look dull, resulting in some
surface noise.
Both labels are weak (see photos).
