Description
This auction is for the book Blackbird Singing. Blackbird Singing is a collection of Poems and Lyrics from Paul McCartney. This book has been signed by Paul McCartney on the title page and beneath the signature is a sketch of a smiley face.
This signature was obtained at the Hay-on-Wye Festival of Literature in Wales on the 30th May 2001. This event did not include a public signing session and autographed books from the Festival were very few. The book is a true first edition first printing from 2001 by publishing house Faber & Faber, and contains the full number line 10987654321. The book is in mint condition complete with unclipped dust jacket.
This item is truly lovely and has been respectivley cared for. It is a known fact that the vast majority of Beatles autographs are forgeries so aquiring the genuine article can be a risky business. I have supersized the pictures so you can view the signature and drawing close up and would welcome you to compare it anywhere for authentication. This does not come with a C.O.A., as these are widely regarded to be worthless unless they are provided by a recognised body. As I am not a recognised body it would be fraudulent to just type one on my computer. However I am happy to include a letter signed by myself detailing the origins of this item for your continued provenance.
