PRINCE Purple Rain 2009 Set of 2 180g Test Pressing Vinyl LPs Rainbo/RTI Version

Super rare set of two 2008 test pressings of 180-gram Rhino Records reissue of 1984 LP originally issued by Warner Bros.
The first copy was pressed at Rainbo Records, and the second copy was pressed at RTI. Both have identical matrix information including the KPG@ATM etching and "S-66596/7" code that usually appears on records pressed by Rainbo. Neither copy comes with a label copy sheet or test pressing evaluation sheet, but the RTI pressing comes with the standard plain white RTI cover which has production date and catalog number stamped on front.
It is unknown why Rhino had discs pressed by both plants, and we are uncertain whether they different sonically in any way from one another. Whether one was "Rejected" or "Accepted" or re-cut for any reason, we are not sure.
It's very hard to find a set of test pressings like this that show the sometimes quirky nature of the LP production process. A must-own for Price and/or test pressing completists!
Condition: Discs VG+, RTI Cover VG+

We grade conservatively, accurately and honestly. S/S, M, M- (NM), VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, WBR (Poor). We do not use EX (many dealers' EX would be our VG).
