PINK FLOYD 'THE FINAL CUT' JAPANESE SUPER PRESSING 1983 MINT VINYL LP

This auction  is for a rare, mint example (from a private seller) of an imported Japanese Super Pressing of the original Pink Floyd's swan song album on vinyl, 'The Final Cut', released in 1983 on the CBS Japan label, catalogue no. 25AP 2410.  The record is stamped as follows: Side 1; 25AP 2410 A1  1 A 10  Side 2; 25AP 2410 B2  1 A 10.  This record was badly under-rated by many and in my humble opinion contains some of Roger Waters' best writing.

The track listings are clearly visible from the photos if you're not familiar with them.

I have owned it from new and only played it rarely, with great care, therefore it is in mint condition on both sides. There are absolutely no marks visible and no audible blemishes not even static. The playing surfaces are as bright and shiny as the day it left the factory.  It has only ever been handled by the edges not the playing surfaces.

The outer sleeve has firm corners, spine and edges and is virtually mint. The outer cover artwork is un-marked back and front and there is no sticker residue.  It has been stored in a polythene wrapper which has preserved it from storage and finger marks. The inner gatefold with colour photos and lyrics is mint. (See what you miss with CDs???!!).  The black paper inner sleeve is untorn and unmarked apart from a few fingerprints and it comes in an additional inner polythene sleeve.  The labels are un-marked with no spindle marks whatsoever.  It has been carefully stored in a smoke free home.

The original Japanese inserts are also included, as you can see from the photos. There is a double page booklet with track listing in English but all other writing is Japanese.  The outer 'OBI' strip (normally disposed of) is still attached to the outer sleeve and has never been removed.  It carries ads in Japanese for albums by Gilmour, Mason and Wright as well as the Floyd.  There is also what looks like a CBS guarantee/registration card printed only in Japanese.  (Yes, I kept everything!)

If you are a collector of Pink Floyd and vinyl records, this is a very fine example of almost CD quality (some would say better), far superior to the original UK vinyl,  which you won't be disappointed with and it would make a valuable addition to your collection.  It has never been lent out or taken to parties, always played on top quality turntables with good cartridges and remember you would be only the second owner!  See also my listing for A Collection of Great Dance Songs, another Japanese import.
