Description

For sale here is a super copy of Pink Floyds iconic "Dark side of the moon" album. Comes with all the attributes of an original first UK pressing. Blue tinted gatefold cover. Solid blue triangle on the labels. Matrices are A2 and B2. (stampers are GGA & OT). Black poly lined inner sleeve. Both posters. Both postcard/stickers.
This is a really nice example of this iconic and highly collectable album. Looks great and plays really well with no major issues. The play-grading is detailed later. What is unusual to find a copy with the vinyl in such a nice condition as this one is. The only real signs of it being played is the odd light spindle mark to the labels. There are no marks on the vinyl worthy of note. I will give a detailed description of each part below.
Also included in the sale is a copy (still sealed in manufacturers shrink-wrap) of the 1974 Empire Pool Wembley concert. This is the official Pink Floyd release. Not a pirated or bootleg copy. This is 100% mint.
Also included is a sticker of the iconic solid blue triangle labels. This is brand new and mint and can be seen in the photos.
The cover:                  Original and genuine blue tint to the cover. Very different to the black covers of later issues. This is a lovely example of this often damaged original cover. There is only very minor handling wear and little to no shelf-wear. It has a light disc impression starting to form. Very solid with left hand side sealed.  I grade this cover as somewhere between VG+ and Ex.
Inner sleeve:                      Really nice example of the black poly-lined inner. No splits, tears or damage. Just some very light creasing that is minimal considering its age. Correct grey printed cat numbers and made in Great Britain present of course. The 2 original stickers have been neatly stuck to the inner sleeve, one to each side. I grade the inner sleeve as very near Ex.
Posters:             Both posters are present. Both are in great condition, with just some minor wrinkling. No pin holes. No blue tack. No splits, rips, tears or issues. I grade both posters as near Ex.
Postcard/stickers:                              Both postcards are present, but as noted earlier, they have been attached to the inner sleeve, one to each side. Shame, but in great shape. I grade these as near Ex.
The labels:                  The iconic solid blue prism labels are in good shape. There is a small knot of light spindle trails to both sides when viewed at an angle in good lighting. Still perfectly legible. No rips or stains. To be safe because of the spindle marks..... I grade the labels as VG+.
The vinyl:                Visually I can see NO marks of note that would cause concern. The vinyl has a wonderful depth of shine and a gorgeous black lustre. I have been lucky enough to own several of the first pressings over many years of collecting, and it is nice to see one as clean and glossy as this. I seriously can find no faults worthy of mention. As a visual appraisal,  I grade as a solid Ex.
PLAY-GRADING:-                    The audio on this copy is really good. I made the following comments in my play-grade notebook:- As almost always on side one, there is very very light background into the heartbeats. Track 2 has two "dust pops" part way through (these almost always clean out or play out). Tracks 3, 4, and 5 play without any issues worth mentioning. Side two plays very much in the same vein. There are 2 dust pops near the end of "Money", "Us and them" has some very light background in a couple of the quieter sections. Tracks 3, 4 and 5 play through great. Aside of the very odd tiny spot of static, the whole album plays just great. The sound throughout is dynamic and vibrant. Clarity and detail are sensational. If it was not for the couple of dust pops and random spots of light static, I would have graded this as a strong excellent. Due the couple of very minor issues noted, I am going to grade conservatively as a strong VG+ to Ex-. This is still an incredible sounding album and will not disappoint.
As a complete and original first UK pressing with the A2 and B2 matrix numbers, low stampers, correct blue tinged cover, both posters and stickers, I really have to grade overall as approaching excellent, certainly very good plus at the very least. Somebody is going to be very happy!!

I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past from both Russia and Mexico, so will not post to either. I have listed the price for UK postage only. If an overseas ebayer wants this, please be aware that it will be through Ebays "Global shipping programme" which pre-pays all customs fees and is fully insured. I DO NOT make anything on the postage. I charge the exact cost (often less) that I pay. I DO NOT charge for packing materials and I try to use recycled packing anyway. If the postage cost is less than my quoted figures, I will refund the excess as soon as I have the exact price. I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight plastic cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve. All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyls over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing. Please bid with peace of mind that what you see is what you get.
If you have any questions, require extra photos, please just ask. Albums will be posted same day the payment is made if early enough, or at worst the next day.
GOOD LUCK IF YOU DECIDE TO BID ON THIS NICE DOUBLE SET.
