This is part of a large Pink Floyd collection I have been selling over a few months now. I still have around 100 albums still to list, including many UK 1st pressings of most titles, some multiple times too. Due to the rare and highly collectable items for sale, I have play-graded the vinyl in a comprehensive and accurate fashion. Played through a Linn / Naim / B&W system. I do of course refund in full if the album is of a lesser quality than my grading. No attempts at part refunds please. Been had too many times on that one!
PLEASE NOTE:- My gradings are as per Record collector magazine. I NEVER grade an opened album as near mint or mint. A grade of that calibre is highly unlikely for a vinyl of 30, 40 or 50+ years old. I see them listed all the time. Near mint or whatever, then the seller goes on to describe marks, the odd crackle, click or pop. Lets be honest. My top grade for an unsealed vinyl album is excellent plus (Ex+), and if that is the grade you can be sure of a pretty special vinyl!
All of my albums come with a brand new heavy duty polythene protective outer cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve, all in the asking price.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of this albums release in March of 1973, I am very pleased to offer the following package for the most discerning collector of all thing pink!
There are 3 complete albums within this collection as well as several other highly collectable memorabilia. Please read the following for an in depth description of everything that is on offer here.
This is the bands iconic 1975 release "Dark side of the moon". First released in the UK in 1973. First pressings had the iconic solid blue triangle labels, before being replaced by the blue outline (so that the track listing could be read much easier). Included is a sealed copy of the recent release, the live concert from 1974. Also included is another version of the album, recorded from demos, out-takes and alternative versions. Full refunds if not as described, as I have already made clear.
The cover is the first version. Midnight blue in colour with the left hand side tucked under and sealed. The cover is very strong and solid. It has some light shelf-wear to top and bottom edges and a little to the spine. No marking or writing present. Just the odd spot of colour loss here and there. I think it all shows in my photos. If you require further photos or clarification on any aspect of this package, just send me a message. Nothing is too much trouble. I grade the cover realistically as very good plus.
The black poly-lined inner sleeve is in good shape. This is the genuine first version with patent number and Made in Great Britain in silver text. A very solid example with a slit to one side that has not had any attempted repair. Poly lining fully attached. Grades as very good plus.
Posters and stickers are all present. Stickers are both excellent plus, posters are less glossy than later releases and have a little discolouration and general wear. Posters grade as very good plus.
The vinyl is visually quite stunning. It displays a deep black lustre and wonderful sheen. Both sides are quite exceptional visually, but side 2 has one small mark only visible in angled light. This mark cannot be felt and does not impact on the audio performance at all. Just noted for a complete picture. One side has maybe 4 spindle marks, the other has between 10 and 12. Not overplayed at all. Visually this has to grade as excellent plus. Referring to my bible (my notebook for play-grading), these are my comments in full:- Disc sits fairly flat to the platter. Weight is a nice 150grams. Side one starts very well into the heartbeat intro. Barely a noise. During "On the run" there are 2 isolated dust pops (should clean out or play out). Plays near silently into "Time". Side 1 is play-graded as excellent plus. Side 2 starts very quietly. During "Us and them" there are 6 very soft ticks (not clicks). The light mark mentioned during the visual assessment plays through cleanly with no noise of any kind. Side 2 is play-graded as excellent plus. For the 10 seconds of the album that has a little tick or pop, this plays 99.9% just about perfectly and an extremely solid all round excellent plus on audio. The winner of this will be extremely pleased I am sure.

A copy of the 50th anniversary album. Live from Wembley in 1974. The complete album pressed on 180gram vinyl and includes posters. This album is still sealed and mint.
A copy of the album "As a matter of fact it's all dark". Different mixes and versions from assorted sources. Un-played.
An original, genuine and nowadays rare music press release, advertising the release of the album in 1973. In excellent condition.
A quite stunning hardback book in a slip cover. Entitled " Pink Floyd - An illustrated history" by Patrick Humphries. First released in 1997, this copy is from 1988 and retailed at £14.99 then! This is a superb full colour book with amazing content. In a condition that belies its age. Grades as excellent plus.
A sealed DVD of the making of this iconic album. Mint.
A new coaster depicting the iconic blue triangle. Mint unused.
A sticker depicting the iconic solid blue triangle. Mint, unused.
A gel pen with heartbeat logo. Mint, unused.

So there you have it. First UK solid blue triangle pressing. A2 / B2 matrices, in its original cover and inner sleeve. Very early mothers and stampers. Both original posters and stickers. Also 2 extra related discs and much more besides. A package like this will not appear often. Do not miss out.
