PINK FLOYD ~ Animals LP Wide Spine A-2U B-4U Rare Irish Pressing Superb EX+
This is one of several LP’s I am offering now and over the next few weeks on ebay in absolutely stunning condition throughout. These LP’s are all in at least EX+ condition, with the majority being in Near Mint or Mint Condition.
Up for sale here:
PINK FLOYD ~ Animals SHVL 815. Ireland. Released 1977
If you are looking for a really nice copy of this LP from the original year of release then look no further. This Irish copy bears many similarities to the UK copy, such as the sleeve featuring the wide spine found on original UK copies, and the custom lyric inner. The LP’s were also pressed by EMI and so contain the EMI factory matrix endings (-U).
Detailed condition grading is as follows:
VINYL: EX to EX+
The Vinyl is in superb EX / EX+ condition. An examination under strong halogen light reveals that the vinyl displays only very light signs of use with a few feint hairline marks. A really fantastic condition copy! I grade very strictly so be assured this is a really nice copy.
MATRIX INFORMATION:
A Side: SHVL 815 A-2U A
B Side: SHVL 815 B- 4U O
Very Early A-2U and B-4U matrix. (exclusive to Ireland?)
LABELS: EX+
The labels are in EX+ condition. The label on the B side actually has some vinyl visible on the edges of the outer centre
OUTER SLEEVE: EX+
The outer gatefold sleeve is in EX+ condition and displays only very minor signs of use, it is a stunning example with sharp edges. Spine remains beautifully intact and not squashed or damaged. There is just very very light wear in a few in a couple of isolated areas but please assured this is very light and does detract from what is really a superb condition sleeve. It would be really difficult to find a better copy.
INNER SLEEVE: EX+
The original thick card inner sleeve appears to be exactly the same as the first copies found in UK pressings - it has a wide tab cut out at the opening and is made of heavy duty card. There are a few very small and isolated creases at the edges but this is quite minor. There is also a generic white inner sleeve presents which is in VG condition. I am not sure if this came with the original set but in being used it has helped to preserve the condition of the thick card inner sleeve.
Buy with confidence, please see my feedback profile - and please also check out the other stunning LP’s I currently have up for auction!!

All records are been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
