Description
This is a very interesting LP that (at the time of listing) doesn't seem to appear on Discogs. It's an Irish pressing of Pink Floyd's 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason'. As you'll see from the first and second photographs in particular, it comes with cream coloured labels that say "Made in Ireland" (please excuse any reflections in the close-up photos). The label on Side 1 is a slightly deeper colour than the label on Side 2. The matrix information in the run-out grooves on the disc is:
Side 1: EMD 1003 - A1 DMM D Precision EMD 1003 A - 1U - 1 -
Side 2: EMD 1003 - B1 DMM Precision D EMD 1003 B - 1U - 1 -
The label on Side 2 also varies from the UK pressing as it uses a different numbering system for the tracks. On the regular UK pressing, "Round And Around" is numbered 1a, with "A New Machine Part 1" being numbered 2 and the other tracks following in numbered sequence up to 5. On this Irish pressing, "Round And Around" is numbered 2, with "A New Machine Part 1" being numbered 3 and the other tracks following in numbered sequence up to 6.
The disc is in Excellent condition, as is the gatefold outer sleeve and the lyric inner sleeve. The outer sleeve and inner sleeve seem to be the regular UK versions, and indeed on the reverse of the outer sleeve it includes the wording: "Sleeve printed in England. Manufactured in England". It shares the same EMI catalogue number as its UK counterpart: EMD 1003.
