THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN 1970 AND ONLY THE VERY FIRST PRESSINGS CAME WITHOUT THE EMI LOGO ON THE LABELS AND FEATURE THE DRIPPING TAP AT THE END OF SIDE 2, WHICH REPEATS FOR EVER IF YOU DISABLE THE RETURN ARM!!!

The cover is in great condition, unlaminated, satin finish, gatefold format. All the edges are strong with only minor wear and there are only a couple of minor creases. The spine is quite cracked at the top 3 inches due to the gatefold being opened, but all the text is entirely readable. There is a very small sticker tear on the front, about 5mm square, and one on the back, about 3x1cm. They are both quite feint - not bad looking, but they are there. The inside of the gatefold is stunning and new looking. All in all, a great cover with no rips, no writing, no creasing, no ringwear, and grades a strong VG+

The original inner picture sleeve is bright and colourful and grades EX

The two "Made in Gt Britain" green and yellow HARVEST labels are nice and bright, with only a little aging and few spindle marks. They feature the "Gramophone Co" credit around the rim, and lack the boxed EMI logo - both the only way to tell a true first pressing, and very rare! The vinyl is nice and clean and still retains it's original shine. There are a few light surface marks and the record plays through very well with only occasional light surface noise and the odd light crackle. The quite passages are not too affected and it plays through mostly exceleent+. No bad clicks or pops and it has the warmth and punch which make these 1st issue original pressings so sought after. The depth and clarity on this first pressing is amazing and really makes the music shine. A remarkable album by one of the most influential and important bands of all time.
