Description

This is a very rare original 1987 UK release of A Momentary Lapse of Reason.  This version was released as an EMI Special/Limited Edition and includes two posters and a guaranteed ticket application and they are all included here.  The cover is also still contained in its original shrinkwrap and covers the majority of it.  Under a bright light you can detect a number of very fine hairlines on the vinyl but they barely affect the audio as described below.  They were caused more by sleeve removal in my opinion and the vinyl has been very well looked after.
I have play tested the LP all the way through and the audio dooes not disappoint.  'Signs Of Life' does begin with a little crackle but it soon disappears.  'Learning To Fly' and 'The Dogs Of War' play with a rich deep clarity and have no interference at all, the audio is stunning.  'One Slip' plays in the same fashion apart from three pops right at the beginning.  'On The Turning Away' is simply stunning and bar the faintest of static on the intro it plays as new.  The whole side plays without any skips or jumps.
'Yet Another Movie' start Side Two with the same quality and plays with absolute minimal interference.  'A New Machine' plays with very slight crackle in the background.  'Terminal Frost' and 'Sorrow' finish the LP with stunning audio, rich and deep with no interference at all.
The gatefold cover is in excellent condition and is still in the shrinkwrap as mentioned.  The edges are very clean but does have some rubbing on the corners of the opening edge.  Other than that it has been very well looked after and retains a strong wide spine.  The inside of the gatefold I'm sure looks as new as has never been opened due to the shrinkwrap.  
It is worth noting that this Special Edition LP was not pressed on the A1/B1 matrix only A2/B3, A3/B1 and A4/B3

I would grade the vinyl as Ex+ (Near Mint in many sections)
The gatefold cover is Ex+
The lyric inner is Mint
Large round screen poster is Mint

The labels are Mint
