METAL BOX

 

YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE ORIGINAL UK "METAL BOX" BY PUBLIC IMAGE LTD FROM 1979, VIRGIN RECORDS, LIMITED PRESSING.

 THE SET IS PACKAGED IN A 12'' (45 RPM x 3 RECORDS) FILM CAN-STYLE METAL BOX. IT HAS DIVIDER SLEEVES INSIDE BETWEEN RECORDS INCLUDING AN A5 SIZE SHEET WITH TRACKLIST AND LINE-UP.

Sides are labelled Metal 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 on the info sheet and Metal 1-A, Metal 1-B, Metal 1-C, Metal 1-D, Metal 1-E and Metal 1-F on the record labels.

METAL 1 sticker on the back.

Side B ends with a locked groove which repeats the last few seconds of "Swan Lake" endlessly until the needle is lifted from the record.

Jeannette Lee is credited as being a member of PIL for this record, though it is known that she did not perform any musical function in the band, but rather admin/PR and occasional video recording. The similarly credited Dave Crowe performed an accounting type role within the PIL 'company'.

THE TIN IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITIONS. IT PRESENTS THE TYPICAL SIGNS CAUSED BY THE TIME AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO, BUT IT'S STILL VG+.

ALL DISCS ARE IN NEAR MINT CONDITIONS, INNER SHEET CONDITION IS EX+.
