Description

Up for sale here is the original PIL Metal Box [Metal 1] 1979.

The record was bought from new by myself upon release in 1979 and has been kept by me since then. It's condition is better than average and hasn't been played since the mid '80s and has been kept amongst a record collection, now it's time for me to clearout so I'm putting it up for sale in order for someone else to enjoy it, as I don't and doubt I will listen to it again as I now listen to more contemporary music. I no longer listen to my vinyl as most music is mp3 (and I have a copy of PIL and may later buy the CD version of this album) so can listen to that if so required.

Condition:
Outer packaging: the metal box is as one would expect for a 30 year old item. The outer metal shows the normal 'finger' wear tarnishes and 'greyed'; but the inner box is as new and silver.

Records: The 12" records are in excellent condition with no obvious scratches.

Comes with original paper insert and also included is the NME page lyric cut-out from the same period.

Points to consider:
I purchased this release as a teenager in 1979, for some reason then, I decided to 'engrave' my name in the underside of the lid and also on the outer vinyl play area of each record. I don't know why, but from what I can remember from the time there was a spate of records being stolen amongst my peers, so maybe that was why!). Anyway, thought it to be honest and upfront to inform you here in case you see it later and send Lydon round. The markings are not noticeable to the naked eye and only there if you look to the light.

I have tried to be as honest as I can, if you have any questions please contact me.

NOTE: P&P IS NOT FREE!!!

eBay want us to sell our vintage items Postage FREE, cut into our end prices but not their profits. If you do not want to pay P&P I'd rather you DID NOT BID. The end winner MUST pay the P&P (though this is waived on the Buy NOW rate).
Ive listed it as 'FREE 'as the system doesn't allow me to place a P&P rate in the box due to their category rules

P&P at cost:
Special Delivery Next Day, Guaranteed by 1:00pm next day, (comp up to £500), Tracked: £5.40

or: 2nd class recorded delivery by Royal Mail: £2.95.

I have many more original records from this '70s period which will probably go this year as it's my 30th punk anniversary and time to move on, so please bookmark my page.
