AND THE TWO ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVES WITH EXTENSIVE NOTES BY GABRIEL ARE BOTH CLEAN AND UNMARKED WITH NO SPLITS - THESE ARE NEAR MINT

Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ was Gabriel's second soundtrack and eighth album overall. It was originally composed as the music for the film The Last Temptation of Christ, but Gabriel spent several months after the film's release further developing the work, finally releasing it as a full-fledged album instead of a "movie soundtrack". It is seen as a landmark in world music and it won a Grammy in 1990 for Best New Age Album
Gabriel used the resources of WOMAD, to bring together musicians from the Middle East and Africa. He worked with them to create music meant to enhance the mood of the movie, based upon the actual sounds which may have been heard during the time of Christ. However, he added a modern ambient musical touch to the original pieces, producing a musical work in the field unsurpassed. Remarkably dramatic, even visual, it is not only Gabriel's best film work but deserving of serious consideration as his finest music of any kind
