Otis Spann - Stirs Me Up/ Keep Your Hand Out Of My Pocket
(Decca F11972 UK Demo 7" Single 1964)
This is a UK original Demo 7" single pressing. This is quite a well played copy. However, playback is still very decent overall. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has custom blue "Decca" Demo labels which have a large outlined "A" on the A-side label. It has a 4 pronged centre. It has 1st press -1C/ -1C matrix stampers. It comes with its original generic Decca company paper sleeve.
A rare mid 1960's UK 7" Single release by this Blues legend. This single was produced by Mike Vernon. It features both Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page on guitar. The A-side has a Blues-Mod Dancer feel to it. It is available, I believe, to hear on Youtube if you are unfamiliar with the track. Vinyl: There are about 8 light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks across both sides. These measure from 1 cm tom 4 cm in length. There are some light, mild, very mild or more moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Good+ condition. There is a very small name written on the A-side label. This hardly really notices (see photo). Otherwise, mild spindle wear. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
