a solid copy of 1971 pressing of this funk psyche monster... not within nearmint, thus priced about half of those copies that are.---- working in a record store for many years, 9 out of 10 copies of this you see are well worn in all ways. even if the cover is kinda ok, the record inside looks like sandpaper was taken to it. So it makes sense for these to go for a chunk. they were going for a chunk in the 80s.they've always been hard to find.
one of the best record covers of all time and  another brilliant new kind of music that got generally ignored when it was made.

What's with the Canadian stamp in the matrix? Is this a Canadian Pressing?

yes and NO. mostly no. Detroit is on the border of  Canada and it's simply a matter of doing business across the way at a Canadian pressing plant that put their stamp in the matrix.

There ARE real "Canadian" copies of this. THOSE COPIES SAY "DISTRIBUTED BY GTR" on the  label. This does not and says Distributed by "Janus Records NY" on label as do the first US pressings.


CONDITION of VINYL: a strong VG+ with no groovewear as many of these have.

CONDITION of SLEEVE: VG+-- has corner cut you find on the majority of these and other minor imperfections but no edgewear or seamsplit and the gloss on the front cover is 100% even in glare. Nice.
