Description
This is an original 1967 Diamond Records D-230 record featuring Ruby Winters. A rather rare Northern Soul classic. A side is I WANT ACTION and B side is BETTER. There are almost no visible marks on the record (a little smudging that could probably be cleaned). ALL of the original gloss remains. There are no marks on the label or the original sleeve. I would grade the 45 VG+++ to NM and the label the same. The sleeve is probably VG+ with some light creasing & ring wear. The 45 appears to have been played very sparingly...if at all. I'm including a brief description of Grades to help clarify them for the novice collector. NEAR MINT: "A nearly perfect record...should show no obvious signs of wear". VERY GOOD PLUS: "record will show signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect ones listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole". VERY GOOD: Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or 45 covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them". GOOD/GOOD PLUS: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have seem splits. Tape writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object". S/H is $4.95 Priority w/tracking & includes a new 45 mailer (ins. extra).
