Description

This is an original 8 1/2x14 promotional-only poster commissioned by the artist himself circa early '70s. It was NEVER offered as an insert in any issues of his psychedelic album "The Truth". This is the larger of two versions of the same promo. It has text at the bottom including telephone number and mailing address. The smaller version of the same poster crops out this text and has erroneously been described as "a rare insert" for the album, but it also was never included as an insert. Extremely few of these were ever produced. This copy was obtained directly from Mr. Hooker himself, and represents the very last copy he had - once it is gone, that's it! It is in very good condition with some modest curling at the very top and bottom, as well as some light age yellowing in the same areas. No creases, no tears or other significant stains or blemishes other than the light yellowing mentioned. Note - the image posted is not the exact copy for sale, but so close as to be virtually indistinguishable (This copy does not have the tiny top right corner missing).
