Beatles Authentic Peeled Mono 3rd State Butcher Cover

 

Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton Peeled Mono Butcher Cover w/Peeled Trunk Cover, Mono Record & Inner Sleeve.

 This is , without a doubt, one of the nicest looking  mono Butchers I have offered in a long time.  Beatlefest is coming up and you won't find anything there of this quality for less than 1k....Look around, as you won't touch a better Butcher of this caliber on the net for this price range as far as a nice looking peeled Butcher Slick. Most you will find under $900 have significant damage to the Butcher Cover or writing on the back cover,large stains,damaged seams or all or some of these troubling issues. Not the case here. Any condition issues are very minor and are described below. Great piece for somebody who is looking for a genuine mono butcher cover that won't empty your bank account. Even at the Buy It Now price, this is a no brainer.  Or, take a chance and place a bid.

Top, Bottom Seam and Spine are all is complete  with just  a very tiny starting crack in the bottom left corner and a slight  1/2" crack on the bottom seam about two inches from the end of that seam.  Back of the jacket is very clean with very light wear/tanning and a  small rub mark on top back where it looks like some ink may have been. Nothing to lose too much sleep over. The front cover is  a beauty with no large tears or serious damage. Scranton machine glue lines are light. There was a department store price tag on this and as a result there are several tiny holes through the Capitol logo and the back of the jacket. There are corresponding holes in the trunk slick as well. This is fairly common on 2nd state Butchers that were sold at chain stores.  

Near Mint Peeled  mono Butcher Covers can sell for as high as $1200 or  even $1600 or more if they are really nice. I have  often seen  similar peeled mono's of lesser condition frequently sell for the $1000 to $1200 range. This is a guaranteed  original 1966 Capitol 3rd state mono Butcher cover. 

Also, this  album cover comes with the peeled trunk slick as shown (w/wrinkles and tears and top right hand corner missing). Record  and original goldenrod 1966 Capitol inner sleeve. Unfortunately, the record appears to be  only in poor condition with many scratches.  Please  note that the John Lennon t-shirt seen in the background is NOT INCLUDED in this auction !
