THE BEATLES - '4-BY THE BEATLES'
The third of three US-released Beatles EPs, and one of only two Capitol Beatle EPs, these are very scarce and extremely rare to find in such well-preserved condition. As a side note, because Capitol did not shrinkwrap these, along with all other 45rpm singles and "Meet the Beatles", natural wear aged and damaged the great majority of these--a testament to their rarity.
This particular copy retains its original store baggy wrap and is practically immaculate. The cover, well protected throughout the past 49 years, retains its bright colors and has virtually no wear. The corners are beautiful and sharp. The disk is perhaps the centerpiece, however, as it barely suffers a single mark. It was most likely never played, and I was too hesitant to even remove it from its vinyl sleeve for photographing.
CONDITION

Bright and beautiful with almost no wear whatsoever. On the 'A' side, when looked at under a light, there are a couple micro-spots that have just the slightest evidence of ink fade. These are actually most likely factory, but still worth mentioning.
Disk: NEAR MINT+
This is my second highest grade for opened disks and one that I rarely use. I don't think that you will ever find a disk better than this unless it is guaranteed unplayed, old store stock or it had just come off the press. I have actually opened sealed albums before that have more wear than this (and we're talking about virtually undetectable and unavoidable handling lines).
Sleeve: NEAR MINT
Still in its store baggy wrap, the sleeve itself is almost as good as the disk. The seams are all solid, tight, and thin. Even the mouth is completely flat, presenting the likelihood that the disk was not stored inside or was quickly removed and never replaced. There is just the ever slightest amount of toning on the inside seam's white flap. With its aforementioned sharp corners, and beautiful, bright colors, there's not much more to say. The sleeve can be removed from the wrap, as it is quite loose; however, there are no splits in the wrap itself.
Overall, a beautiful and stunning archival and collectors' copy.
