MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Stereo Odeon Records very first press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1975 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from EMI Records Ltd., England, catalog number MSOD-8976, with hand etched matrix numbers EMI 2304 A 1 in Side A and EMI 2304 B 1 in Side B, with grey/silver EMI Odeon Records labels, solid center and 1/1 stampers!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Nice rarity for all lovers, fans and collectors of Olivia Newton-John and Eddie Cochran and Pop of the ‘70’s!!!

“Follow Me” was originally released in UK in May 1975 and the same year we could see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about licenses and for Jogn Farrar as arranger and producer of each song. It’s interesting to notice that matrix numbers in Chile correspond to the UK catalog number as you can see and compare with original UK issue in this link: https://www.discogs.com/es/Olivia-Newton-John-Follow-Me-Summertime-Blues/release/1481539. So, here you have the chance to get and own this classic single by Olivia Newton-John singing “Eddie Cochran’s “Summertime Blues”, released in Chile with UNIQUE GREY ODEON RECORDS LABELS and Spanish-written song titles, a record not many times seen here in eBay!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice G+ or VG- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, with a very evident warp, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in nice EX or EX+ condition both sides, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear and some faint blemishes in Side A, with Side A closer to EX and Side B closer to EX+. The sound is in strong VG+ or even EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some soft occasional crackles here and there, more evident in the last seconds of each song, and minimal hiss in the first seconds of each song, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record could not to be for Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure it’s still in a great condition in spite of the warp, with almost immaculate labels and with still a great sound quality after about 42 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this is an UNIQUE RELEASE with GREY ODEON RECORDS LABELS and with Spanish-written song titles!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first.
