The first two releases in this iconic series.  60 mid 80’s tracks from Culture Club and Kajagoogoo to The Smiths, Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones, spread over 2 double albums in gatefold sleeves.   

The nation’s charity shops are littered with these two albums in dreadful condition…but not these ones.

Albums only played a couple of times and extremely well looked after.   Sleeves were kept in outer plastic covers. 

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION!        Playing condition is EX+/NrMINT, with the vast majority of tracks playing better.      Records have clearly had very little previous play.    Just the very faintest occasional low-level surface noise – hardly audible.      NO crackle.   NO repetitive clicks.    NO distortion.    NO jumps.    NO sticking.  

Visually the vinyls are in at least EX+/NrMINT condition.  Very few small and light surface-only marks.   Most of the sides look as new.   Playing surfaces lovely and clean and retain their original sheen. 

Labels in NrMINT condition.    Very few and faint spindle marks.    NO stickers.  NO writing. 

Sleeves are NrMINT.    Just a little wear at the top of the spines stop me from grading higher.    Still lovely and clean/neat – look virtually as new.    All spine text still perfectly readable.    NO seam splits.  NO tears.   NO writing.   NO stickers. 

If you can find better condition examples of these albums, well done.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System  - VINYL

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
