Description
This is Norma Winstone's first solo album, following her Melody Maker award in 1969. I bought it then and have looked after it ever since.
On Edge of Time she brought together a stunning group of British Jazz talent including Alan Skidmore, Mike Osborne, Kenny Wheeler, Paul Rutherford, Chris Pyne, Gary Boyle, Henry Lowther, Art Themen, Malcolm Griffiths, Frank Ricotti, John Taylor on piano, Chris Laurence and Tony Levin. Mixing engineers and composers and arrangers included John Surman, John Warren and Neil Ardley, so everyone was getting in on the act.
The cover is in good to excellent condition, with a bit of fading and staining, but no tears or damage. The original record shop price sticker is still there from when I bought it. The inner cover is original.
The disc is ARGO ZDA 148. It is in excellent condition with no visible or audible scratching. I am sure it would benefit from a professional clean, but I am not a dealer so I cant offer this service. I will leave it well alone.
