By 1977 Sly Dunbar had quickly became Jamaica’s hottest session drummer. He and bass player Robbie Shakespeare dominated a large part of the Roots Rockers Reggae scene with their backup band - the Revolutionaries. They, along with the cream of Jamaican session players, came together to create Sly’s first album Go Deh Wid Riddim.
Produced by Derrick Harriott for his Crystalites label, it was recorded at the legendary Channel One Studio. This is the first pressing / release on the red Crystallites label (later pressings were blue label).

Visually the vinyl has the typical Jamaican pressing artifacts, light scrapes & scuffing with some pit marks. I played it and it has the occasional pops in the blkground, no skips. I grade it a strong VG+ for Jamaican vinyl. If you collect this stuff you know what I mean.
Cover is also VG+. Cover has a sticker from the legendary Brads Records up in the Bronx. If you are old school, you will recall when stores used letters for pricing codes. This was a “C”.
This record came with a plastic inner sleeve. I’m putting it in a white paper sleeve but including the orig plastic sleeve to keep it all legit for the purist. A truly scarce Reggae gem.
