Description
On offer here is an original UK LP by Nico called The Marble Index. This was issued in 1968 on the Elektra Label in Stereo, and is in great condition for a 52 year old LP. This record was heavily criticised by the music press on release basically saying it was unlistenable, and like the bad reviews it hardly sold at all. In later years critics have been a lot kinder to her work and it proves she was underappreciated at the time. Nico in the late 60's is what Joy Division were in the late 70's. You don't miss it until it isn't there any more. The fully laminated sleeve is in really nice condition. There are a few small creases, very minor, all the edges are fine and the spine fully readable. I am grading as Near Excellent Condition. The record visually has been played a few times but well cared for. The labels are in great condition and the vinyl only the lightest signs of sleeve removal. The matrix numbers are A1/ B1. I am grading as Excellent Condition. The record plays brilliantly on both sides with only the lightest of static. It is a quiet sounding record so any surface noise will show up. I am grading as Near Excellent Condition. If you are a collector of original Nico records they don't come much better than this. Altogether a lovely example of this very rare LP. I will send the record first class tracked. Postage to Europe is £12.00.
