Description
At auction is a lot of Neil Young albums ranging from 1969's "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" up through 1979's "Live Rush" (which is a double album). Included in this lot are rare LPs such as "On The Beach" and "Time Fades Away." This is the perfect way to introduce someone who's new to vinyl to one of the great singer-songwriters during (arguably) his greatest era.
I consider myself pretty particular when it comes to grading, but I am by no means a professional. The grades below I think best represent the condition the albums / covers are in, but would be happy to answer any questions you have about any one of the albums in particular. Note: these albums are *all* from my person collection (passed down from family members or records that I've picked up over the years).
Finally: I'm doing my best to represent which pressing each album is (because I know how important that is to some collectors) and I am trying be as accurate as possible as I list each one. Again, feel free to message any inquiries about a particular pressing.
Now that we have all of that nonsense out of the way, onto the good stuff!
The records are (in no particular order):
1. After The Gold Rush (RS 6383) - 1970 Gatefold Pressing (Includes Lyrics Poster - which is in excellent shape!!)
Cover: VG+ (I'd love to say this is NM, but some professionals might find a reason to say otherwise, so see photo!)
Record: VG+ (some slights marks, but overall a very shiny and clean record)
2. Time Fades Away (MS 2151) 1973 Pressing (Includes Lyrics Poster - which is in excellent shape!!)
Cover: G (There is tape along the right side of the cover - see photos for a closer visual)
Records: VG (There's some visual scuffs on the album, but nothing that looks deep in the grooves).
3. On The Beach (R 2180) Includes Umbrella / Floral Printed Inner Jacket and Original Inner Sleeve.
Cover: VG+ (Some slight ring wear and bends, but the cover is very clean - see photos for a closer visual)
Record: VG+ (The record has a nice shine, some minimal scuffs, but a very clean looking pressing!)
4. Rust Never Sleeps (HS 2295) Includes original sleeve.
Cover: VG (A bend in a upper right hand corner, some slight ring wear in the back, and some small creases on the left hand side)
Record: G+ (Some noticeable scuffs, and one tiny nick right before the last track on side A, that made me lower this from a VG - again, airing on the side of caution).
5. Comes A Time (MSK 2266) Includes plastic sleeve.
Cover: VG (There's some slight colored ring wear - you can see in the photo), and a few tiny nicks towards the lower right side of the cover)
Record: VG+ (I would prefer to call this NM, but there may be some professionals that would say it's VG+, so I'll air on the side of caution).
6. Live Rust (2RX-2296) Includes original sleeves.
Cover: VG (Ringwear on the front and back cover)
Record: VG+/VG (I would rate record 1 a VG+ and record 2 a very strong VG -- again, just me being over picky).
7. American Stars 'n Bars (MSK 2261) Includes original sleeves.
Cover: VG+ (I'd love to say this is NM, but some professionals might find a reason to say otherwise, so see photo!)
Record: VG+ (very shiny and clean, could almost be seen as NM to some)
8. Harvest (MSK 2277) 1978 Gatefold Repress. Includes plain white sleeve.
Cover: VG+ (Very slight bend in upper left hand cover, otherwise, extremely clean!)
Album: VG+ (A few visible scuffs, but nothing deep that would appear to impact play in anyway!)
9. Everybody Knows This is Nowhere (RS 6349) - Gatefold cover. Includes plain white sleeve.
Cover: NM (I honestly can't find a thing wrong with this cover, it's clean & shiny - both inside & out - if you're professional and disagree, my apologies, but I'm going with my gut here!)
Album: VG+ (I would also lean towards a NM with this album as well. This is simply a beautifully visual copy!)
I will be shipping each album in its own plastic sleeve, and will package them with bubble wrap in between each album to ensure safe travel.
