Original 1981 Settebello label SEL 700002, PROMO copy, Italy.

A marvellous Italian Jazz Library session from the killer Settebello series that have been very elusive for years and surely pressed on few hundred of copies. Wondeful jam composed by the great Oscar Rocchi's and Giancarlo Barigozzi's duo accompained by the majestic boppish drums of Gianni Cazzola, Mario Costalonga on trumpet and trombone, and the great bassline of Bruno Tommaso. Release date is 1981 but the album was actually recorded in Milan, 1975, with Oscar Rocchi at Piano Fender and mister Barigozzi playing a large horns selection. Amazing Modern Jazz session with groovy drums and Modal Jazz dialogues / lovely and classy Free Jazz arrangements in every single track with Contemporary Jazz and Fusion perpetual contaminations. Serious Italian Jazz piece for certain record collectors!

Enjoy the stunning Modal Jazz of "HORSE RACE" with killer drums cues and dope contrabass, crazy sax solo by maestro Barigozzi and lovely Fender Rhodes by O.Rocchi - fabulous! - The Modern and Free Jazz dopeness of "DEVILS AND ANGELS" with some exotic touch and serious drumming by Jazz maestro G.Cazzola, exquisite Piano Fender as usual by mr. Rocchi. "DIALOGUE" features very nice Free Jazz and classy Contemporary arrangements, solos and musical dialogues. The odd-tempo stunning Jazz theme "KITES" with decant electric piano, more stylish Free Jazz numbers on "LATE AT NIGHT". Gorgeous Italian Jazz Library recording!
