Description

This is an auction for a  first pressing of The BEATLES 1962 UK original 45 “LOVE ME DO” / “P.S. I LOVE YOU” on the PARLOPHONE label (RED LABELS) No. 45-R 4949.

Matrix No.s are 7XCE17144-1N &17145-1N, with stamper Nos.MPZT 1  stamped on both sides at 9.00 O’Clock,  stamped on both sides at 3.00 O’Clock are the letters G L.  The letters M & T are on side one labels, one each side of the spindle hole..

Labels have The Parlophone Co Ltd( in Upper/lower case), Ardmore & Beechwood  (Upper case) Ltd & Recording First published 1962  text.

There is a label error on side two , the closed bracket of composer credits is missing.

The record is in EX+ condition, I doubt you could really improve on it, labels are clean no writing and just the odd spindle mark.

Overall a lovely item for the serious collector.
