A highly desirable early UK Columbia mono pressing featuring János Starker in Bach’s legendary solo cello repertoire.
This is one of the important early Starker Bach issues on Columbia 33CX. The complete Columbia Starker Bach cycle was issued across separate 33CX LPs, and 33CX 1656 contains Suite No. 1 in G major BWV 1007 and Suite No. 3 in C major BWV 1009.
Condition
Vinyl: NM / Near Mint Beautifully preserved record with a pristine glossy surface and no visible marks. A very strong copy.
Cover: VG++ A beautifully preserved copy overall — clean, sharp and well cared for, a genuine collector’s example. Very close to NM, but please note a small tear / surface loss on the rear flipback section. Made from fine British cardboard: sturdy, solid and still attractive with a lovely vintage shine.
