Description
This is one of the great, great recordings of any music from any time. A truly legendary album, Nathan Milstein's recordings of the Bach partitas and sonatas for solo violin, on Capitol triple LP boxed set PCR-8370. This is the true 1957 first pressing on the green medallion labels, and it just sounds incredible. All three discs play absolutely breathtakingly beautifully. I listened all the way through the whole hour-and-half (it was hard to take it off) and it played flawlessly. I don't hear the slightest tick or even light crackle. They visually grade NM but some sides EX because there are very very light and entirely superficial sleeve wisps, barely. Side one has a small hairline mark but it makes no sound at all. The rest appear almost immaculate. Really the discs are simply lovely and sound perfect. The box is in just beautiful condition as well. None of the corners are torn or crushed, and all the sides are straight and edges clean. The spine is perfectly intact and fully readable as if new. The top is disconnected from the bottom, as most are. The insert is also included, making this a complete and top quality copy. Truly this is a top, top copy that plays just stunningly perfectly. Unbelievable treasure of a record. I hate to sell it.
